What are best ways to search for jobs (without even applying)?

Most of us have at some point looked for a job and got tired of searching. Is it hard for you to find real job opportunities? My biggest challenge was not to find opportunities, but to filter the ones that didn’t interest me so I didn’t spend all my time having interviews for crappy jobs that looked awesome on paper.

However, I became quite good at landing job interviews after a while, and now I only sit and wait for the best opportunities (I really just wait). I didn’t apply for my last two jobs.
Here is how…

This really is a job of being able to market yourself. I am not an HR profesionnal so don’t crucify me peeps…

Here is what I do to find a job:

Find most common available Jobs
I looked what were the most common available jobs in my industry
    1. Here I used Job Bank and filtered by Top Job Categories to find if there are actually some jobs in my specialization…
    2. I also looked at the top skills needed on LinkedIn. That’s how I started focusing on learning SEO/SEM, in order to become an Online Marketing Manager.
Make sure my profile is perfect on social medias
I made sure my online presence was OK on LinkedIn since employers DO LOOK at your profile. I added bunch of the keywords found on the post on top skills needed on Linkedin and other top skills needed blog posts.
2 tools to look for a job online (the only 2 I use)
I used to look for jobs everywhere (Indeed, Job Bank, Isarta, etc.) but I ended up using two tools only, Jobillico and Google for Jobs.
Jobillico
My own favorite is Jobillico, since you can create your account, and wait to be contacted by employers since they give employers an access to a bank of resumes… Make sure you fill up your profile from one end to the other. Jobillico will match your profile to employers needs. Also, once the profile is setted up, it is an easy one click apply for any jobs.
